Sara & Ethan's Modern Wedding with Thoughtful Design and Artful Touches

Fort Mason, San Francisco

Summer

Sara & Ethan sought to create a curated and thoughtful experience to share with their guests for their modern wedding, which included special touches like bonsai-wishing-trees placed upon a custom built table, a band-led walk to dinner, and poem cards for their guests. Sara wore a structured Carolina Herrera gown, styled with a gently wavy, sophisticated ponytail and minimal jewelry. Sara & Ethan come from a background of experience in architecture and design, and naturally landed upon the work of Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf as a source of inspiration for florals. Their florist, Lambert Floral Studio, suggested a large-scale garden installation stretching across the center of their reception space. Using primarily perennial grasses and other herbaceous plants, he created a textural garden reminiscent of the way plants would spontaneously grow in the wild, painting with plants in the style of Piet Oudolf.

Cecilia & David's Modern Autumn Flood Mansion Wedding

Flood Mansion, San Francisco

Autumn

Both incredibly talented designers with impeccable taste, Cecilia and David chose San Francisco’s iconic Flood Mansion as the backdrop for their stylish, moody autumn wedding. They kept their overall design sleek and modern, with a neutral palette and dark touches contrasting a fall-forward, colorful floral palette. Lush roses, fall foliage, autumn fruit - elements that melded together into the stunning arch under which Cecilia and David said “I do.” Guests were seated at long banquet tables in the main hall, dining by candlelight on Korean-inspired dishes as a nod to Cecilia & David’s comfort foods. From the fashion choices to the moody autumn décor, the vibes were immaculate.

Sarah & Josh's Elegant White Wedding at The San Francisco Mint

The San Francisco Mint

Sarah and Josh were one of the sweetest couples I have ever met, gifted with strength and beauty, and the most generous, loving spirits. They met in the military, and their relationship continued to grow despite frequent goodbyes and long distances. Sarah’s aesthetic is elegant, simple, and refined, which we strove to carry out throughout her wedding design. We felt a clean palette of whites, pale greys, and dusty blues would complement the weathered stone of The San Francisco Mint beautifully, and greenery was brought in to add an organic touch for their elegant white wedding.

They knew that they wanted an intimate celebration with their closest friends and family, so they chose to hold their ceremony at San Francisco City Hall with an additional visit to Yosemite afterwards, a place near and dear to their hearts. These two sweet souls wanted a celebration that would feel authentic and meaningful, a reflection of their love for each other.
